Hong Kong is somewhere I'd never been before - but the culture, the history, the food and the weather all appealed to someone based in the UK during a cold, wet October.
I was offered a chance to visit, catch up with some old friends and make new ones and see the place, and it didn't disappoint!
It's very compact, there are definite differences between each of the districts, especially noticeably between Hong Kong Island (very colonial) and Kowloon (much more local feeling).
Thanks to everyone who helped me while I was there, but especially to Avril and Andy for your hospitality and advice. I still, for the record, hate heights!
